Baby love. . .

Have I mentioned yet how much Micah loves Amy? He brings her toys, watches her diaper changes, tries to soothe her when she cries, pretends to take pictures of her, happily feeds his arm to her, and as of today, begs to hold her. ("Hold? Hold? Pictures!") This is the only picture where Amy is kind of smiling. She wasn't unhappy, but she also wasn't her usual grinning self. It was pretty close to nap time.
Micah started using a blanket the other night. He sleeps much better now. This afternoon I laid him down for a nap and he said, "Oh, blanket!" After I put it on him he goes right to sleep. Score!
For lunch today he ate apples, chips, cheese, frozen corn and animal crackers. Tomorrow we go house shopping. . . Pray for wisdom for us and generosity for someone with a house they don't want anymore. We are confident that God has something just right for us and that he will provide it. Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it. . .

it's not really the road, just a parking lot.

Adventures in Spicy

Today for breakfast (I know, it's a bit of a departure) Micah is having spicy noodles. He really wants the noodles, but occasionally cries about the spiciness. So our morning has been going a bit like this: "AAh, AH (bite) mmmmmm. . .. Don't liiiike it! More?? More?? Waaaaaah! Munch munch, Don't like it! More?" Oh, the trials of toddlerhood.
Amy laughed some more this morning. Someday I will get it on video. Alright.
Alright is a popular word with my 2-year-old. Like Please, I do not think the word means what he thinks it does. He stood in his room waiting for me to get him out of bed the other morning and had a conversation with himself: "Out, out? Alright. Nurse? Alright! Morning, Morning! Alright! Out? Moooooooommy? Alright!"

Memorial Day

Micah's Birthday

Watermelon

Today Micah is having watermelon for lunch. He is working on his third bowl right now. We will have to stay on top of diaper changes for the next 24 hours or so.
I just have to brag on my kid for a minute. He just loves his little sister. He is so sweet to her. Lately he has gotten ahold of the camera a couple times. In the past when he has gotten it, he has wanted to see pictures- "Pichers, Pichers, Pleeeease?" But the last two times (once with Grandma Retha's camera) it's been "Smile Amy, AMY smile!"
He's also concerned about her eating habits- when she pulls off he goes to great lengths to encourage her to get back on and eat some more. When he's the only one nursing, he tells me the other one is Amy's. When he is done he hops up and says, "Amy's turn." They have both been a little sick and nursing a lot lately.
Amy goes to get shot today. Wish her well. I'm glad Micah won't have to be in the room with her.

Pictures with Sharon before she leaves.

Looks a little crooked here.
She weighs 12 and half pounds now, which apparently was a little much for Micah:

Joey rescued them.
Micah's Birthday party, will have to get cake pics from Val.
See, you're only allowed to sit in a chair if you are holding someone. . .

Who needs a couch when you can have Daddy's computer chair?

This is the picture Micah took of her last night, I think it's a little Betty Boop-ish.
This is the picture Michael took of Micah right after Micah took the picture of Amy. He wasn't excited at all.
Amy helped me do laundry last night.
She wanted to try these shoes on, but they didn't match her outfit.
