Sand and Sandwiches

Today Micah had potato chips for lunch. He also had a bite of strawberry. Michael and I each had a sandwich to share with him, but he was not interested. This morning we went to the Greensboro children's museum with Cousins Jennifer and Kate. Micah's favorite was the sand box - I think he would have gladly played there all day but we convinced him to try some other things. We eventually looked at almost everything but could easily spend days there without running out of new experiences.

Micah found an earthworm. We didn't take a picture after he broke it.

They were all worn out. This is at 9:00pm and they didn't wake back up.

Micah got hungry in the kitchen, so we got ready to go.

Cici's Pizza

Today Micah ate 3 pieces of pizza, some olives, tomatoes, cucumbers and a piece of apple dessert pizza. His mother was very pleased. Eighty degrees is such a pleasant temperature. We had a good time visiting with different relatives today and doing a little shopping. I'll put up pitcures tomorrow.

WHeeeeeeeeee BASH!

Today Micah chewed up some carrots and spit them back out for lunch. I hope he starts eating again soon. Yesterday we left DE around 10:00am and drove all day to Greensboro, NC. We stopped at an outlet mall, a travel stop, a very big mall, a nice virginia rest stop, a McDonalds with a very nice outdoor play place, a gas station, and a Wendy's. We got to Greensboro around 9:00pm. It was a long day and Micah settled down to bed earlier than usual (around 12:00). This morning we got up and took Micah and Michael to get haircuts. Micah did a great job holding still.
Later we had a picnic at a lake and fed bread to geese. Then we went to a science center with a petting zoo! It was great fun and we wished we had a few more hours to look at everything. We came back to Grandma Siler's house and saw cousin Jennifer and her daughter Kate. Kate brought some toys for Micah to borrow while he is here and he has playing with her marble drop toy. It is a tower with paths for some balls to roll down. Micah likes that aspect of it, but he also likes to knock the whole thing over: Wheeeeeee! Bash!

Getting ready to leave Grandma and Grandpa's house in Delaware.Calling our cell phone from a pay phone because we couldn't find it in the car. We found it, too!Playing in the McDonald's play place somewhere in NC.The milkshake Daddy and Micah shared at McD's.The milkshake Micah played with and got all over himself and the car seat. Micah's first and last ten dollar haircut.

The nice lady gave him a sucker. We got this outfit (all this weeks outfits, actually) at a yard sale Saturday.

Amy enjoying the science center. She had pooped and I thought we needed an outfit picture just in case.
Micah and Daddy in front of the roaring dinosaur. Micah was scared, but wanted to do it "Again?" until we did and then he cried.

Micah and Great Aunt Donna with the Giraffe.
Making Micah pet the goat.

Cousin Kate at Grandma Siler's house. She watching Winnie-the-Pooh while Micah plays with her toys.

I don't think the camera caught how pretty her eyes were with this outfit, but I tried. Need Val here.

Micah finally held Amy. He tells us that is her head. In case you were wondering.

And this is her nose.

How Micah would look if he was missing an arm.

Catching up

Micah watching planes in Seattle. He really only did this because we told him to for the picture. He was much more interested in the kids that are about 3 feet to his right. Playing with his animals in the Anchorage airport at 5:40 am.
How Amy spent all her time in Anchorage.

And Amy at the bank in her pretty dress. She pooped all over the back of it. I had to run it through the wash three times to get the yellow out. I think this dress is my favorite so far. Thanks Jess.

Today Micah had Chick-Fil-A for lunch- a fruit bowl, chicken nuggets and a waffle fry or two. He hasn't been eating very well the last few days, but did a lot better today. . . if eating 2 and a half ears of corn counts.
Our travels went well- only two meltdowns on the plane and the first flight both kids slept the whole way! Micah loved the stuffed animals in the Anchorage Airport- especially the Dall Sheep. Sheeeeep! Sheeeep! Amy slept through the airport. We arrived in DE pretty late at night, but early enough AK time for Micah to reaquaint himself with the toys at Grandma Terryl's house. There is a barn that plays songs he sings along with. Very cute.
Speaking of songs, he has become rather enchanted with the Winnie-the-pooh theme song. We sang it over and over in the car today. He especially like listing all the characters. We went to garage sales today and the first one was a jackpot. We got a lot of good stuff for them.
There are two orange foam balls here that look like oranges- they are textured like them and have stems and everything. When we got here Micah acted like he wanted to eat them but we told him no and he seemed to respect that. Tonight he came and got me in the kitchen. "No! No! No bite! Eat! No!" I wondered if the very nice doggy had startled him or something. No, he led over to a chair and handed me a 'Micah-bite-sized" piece of the orange ball and again said "No! No! No eat!." Then he ran away. I think he thought if he was in trouble I would chase him. Really, what do you do. . . he obviously knew it was wrong, and confessed to it. He just wasn't sorry!
Amy has been dressing up a lot. I have gotten pictures of most of her outfits. We finally got the camera situation worked out so I can put pitcures on this computer, but we had to copy some files tonight so I couldn't do it now. I'm not we will have access to the internet for the next week or so, so sorry no pictures for a while.
