Amy's Lunch

Amy had her first bottle for lunch yesterday. We took the day off. The internet was down for a long time, so I couldn't post these then. Micah got a tractor to play with but someone didn't take any pictures. . . .

Val, this brought you to my mind. : )
Micah likes to play in Amy's seat.

Not all water is created equal

He also got to go on some rides and play games and get a gumball on the boardwalk. He really enjoyed the rides, but took them very seriously. No smiling. We know he enjoyed them because he wanted to do them over and over. 'Gain? 'Gain?

We got Amy some garbage for her hair.

Ugly snapping turtle.

At the scary beach.

Trying to get him closer to the water.

Amy and Grandma at the beach. Is anyone seeing a theme here?

No Lunch

Micah hasn't had lunch yet today, but here are some pictures from the last few days.

He got back out again.

Feeling crowded.

Sniffles

Today Micah had orange Jello he ate with a straw for lunch. He thought it was very fun. I gave him a spoon but he had already had the straw idea and was convinced it was a better way. He also had a few bites of fried chicken, one bite of broccoli (we keep telling people he likes it and he keeps spitting it out. . . Thanks, Son. ) and . . . I guess that was all.
I have a minor case of the sniffles. . . I think it is a cold and not allergies. I would like to stand firm in the idea that I don't have allergies. I just typed allergies.com. Today we left Georgia and were on the road for three full hours before got to Greenville- which is much less than three hours from where we started. After that we made pretty good time up to Greensboro though. Tomorrow we head on back to Delaware. I think we will be happy to be back 'home.'
I left some of the kids clothes that I really should have brought with me. For example, I only brought one pair of Jammies for Micah. At home we sometimes go through two pairs a day. I am so thankful for my friend Mrs. Samsel who washed all Micah's clothes three times a day while we were at her house. I will put up the mud puddle pictures, but probably not until sometime Friday or Saturday.
Micah climbed the stairs to Aunt Karen's 2nd floor balcony over looking the living room. He stuck his head through railing and yelled "Michael! Michael!" He's been calling me Julie some lately as well. Thinks it's funny. Which I guess it is.
Oh and our horror story of the day: I looked back at Micah and saw that he was playing with Amy (in the car). "Gentle," I cautioned, not wanting my baby's eyes to be poked out or anything. I kept watching to make sure he was careful and discovered what he was actually doing. . . He was picking his nose, then putting his finger in Amy's mouth! Who needs vaccines anyway. . .

Raindrops are falling on my head. . .

Micah meets Pine straw.

Today I was not paying attention when Micah ate lunch. He may have had pizza and he may have had nothing. I do know he had popcorn. And milk. Amy wants to be smiled at. Friday and Saturday we were up in the mountains just north of Asheville at Michael's parent's retirement house. Sunday morning we traveled on down to Dillard, ate lunch at the Dillard House and saw some places from our past. Later that night we met up with our good friends we came to Georgia to see and we've been spending some time with them since. Micah has really enjoyed having other kids to play with, and also mud puddles to play in!
